Concrete tiles are handcrafted, piece by piece, using a mixture of cement, marble dust, fine sand and mineral pigments. They do not undergo firing like ceramic tiles but are air-cured, giving them a natural texture. Cement is a versatile and durable material that is revolutionising interior and exterior design. At Dgeum, we have developed a micro-concrete composition that, instead of being applied as a grout, has the optimum density for pressing; thus we create our concrete tile, which are pressed full-body micro-concrete tiles. In practical terms, cement still hardens the pieces, but the pressing process grants them much more compaction and resistance.
Unlike traditional multi-layer encaustic tiles, our pieces are full-body. Therefore, this homogeneity ensures that the composition and colour stay unalterable throughout the thickness, providing superior technical integrity.

Our concrete tiles are manufactured with a special blend of cement, various stones, and water. This allows us to achieve straight, fine edges with a very natural look. After pressing, we let our tiles harden naturally at room temperature for 28 days. A process without firing or emissions that makes them unique.
