At Dgeum, we have evolved the classic cement tile concept to create a unique architectural finish. Our cement tiles reinterpret traditional encaustic techniques to deliver seamless, highly resistant surfaces with a distinct natural aesthetic.
Encaustic tile, reinvented
What makes us different?: Drawing on the tradition of hydraulic presses, this concept solves the historical limitations of classic encaustic mosaics by eliminating high porosity and excessive thickness, which previously restricted their use in vertical wall applications.
How it’s made: Our pieces maintain the authentic mineral base and process of traditional tiles, but differentiate themselves through a single-layer structure. They are cold-pressed, without firing, which provides unmatched authenticity and material consistency.
Design evolution: We combine ceramic digital printing with the handcrafted aesthetic of traditional tiles. The result is a deep chromatic effect where the pigments penetrate the body of the piece.
Architecture and Interior Design
