Cement Tiles
The evolution of encaustic tiles
Cement tiles for floors and walls. The evolution of the traditional encaustic tile, featuring a reduced thickness and low porosity, specifically designed for architecture and interior design projects. A natural, high-performance alternative to conventional ceramics.
- Cold-pressed manufacturing
- Through-body cement
- Natural tonal variation
The evolution of cement tiles
Cement tiles originated in the 19th century through the hydraulic mosaic technique: pigmented cement pieces set using a hydraulic press. Produced without kiln firing, they soon became a defining feature of modernist and Mediterranean architecture, prized for their durability, decorative richness, and artisanal character.
At Dgeum, we have reclaimed this mineral essence and reinterpreted it through our proprietary process, which enhances stability and reduces thickness while preserving the authenticity of the cement. We complement the original classic motifs with new contemporary compositions, creating a collection that integrates seamlessly into both traditional settings and modern architecture and interior design projects.
Encaustic tiles reinvented
Inspired by the tradition of hydraulic presses, our system overcomes the main limitations of traditional encaustic tiles by reducing porosity and thickness, thereby expanding their possibilities for both floor and wall applications.
The tiles maintain the same mineral base and process as traditional encaustic tiles, distinguished by their single-layer structure. They are cold-pressed without kiln firing, which ensures authenticity and material consistency.
We combine digital ceramic printing with the artisanal aesthetic of traditional encaustic tiles in 15×15, 10×20, and 20×20 cm formats. The result is a deep chromatic effect, where the inks penetrate the body of the tile.
Architecture and interior design
Our tiles are distinct from conventional ceramic or porcelain stoneware. The raw material comprises the entire tile, meaning the surface and the body share the same mineral composition. This significantly broadens the creative possibilities for architecture, interior design, and outdoor projects.
Traditionally, encaustic tiles have been synonymous with classically inspired ornamental motifs. Our concept preserves this aesthetic heritage while projecting it into the present through geometric patterns, contemporary compositions, and bespoke collections. The result is a fresh interpretation of the encaustic mosaic, capable of integrating naturally into both classical settings and the most cutting-edge architecture and interior design projects.
Innovation in encaustic tiles
Our manufacturing system creates a new category of floor and wall covering that sits between porcelain, traditional encaustic, and natural stone. It does not imitate materials: it reinterprets them through its own substance. It is not ceramic, it is not stone; it is pure matter.
Concepts and ideas
Our tiles are suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas, adapting perfectly to both horizontal and vertical surfaces. From continuous flooring to feature walls, they allow for the development of functional and aesthetic solutions in all types of projects using truly unique pieces:
- Modern bathroom tiles Contemporary wall and floor coverings for bathrooms
- Unique kitchen tiles Designer flooring and wall tiles for kitchens
- Non-slip outdoor tiles Slip-resistant floor tiles for exterior use
Collection catalogue
Focusing on cement as our base material, we develop floor tiles and wall tiles in a variety of finishes, ranging from smooth to textured surfaces. We incorporate protective solutions that ensure a sealed, durable material, suitable for all types of applications:
- Full catalogue Cement tiles in 15×15, 10×20, and 20×20 cm
- Cement-effect tiles Continuous surfaces with a natural concrete aesthetic
- Decorative tiles Original patterns and designer motifs
Cement flooring
Our range of cement flooring is slip-resistant and durable, ensuring both safety and longevity. It is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Whether for a bathroom renovation or a terrace design, it brings the unmistakable style of cement with its organic essence.
Cement floor tiles
Our tiling is the perfect fusion of ceramic, cement, and stone. We bring this concept together using high-tech Sacmi press technology, exclusively modified to manufacture our tiles in three different sizes: 15×15, 10×20, and 20×20 cm.
Cement wall tiles
One of our manufacturing stages is manual, which gives each tile an exclusive style, reinforcing our commitment to craftsmanship. This allows us to create wall tiling with an aesthetic that integrates perfectly into minimalist, industrial, and contemporary design concepts.
Reduced thickness for walls
This material represents an evolution over standard ceramics. We have achieved a 13 mm thick, high-density tile with a striking finish and durability that evokes the beauty and solidity of natural stone for wall installation.

What sets our cement tiles apart?
We manufacture our cement tiles in Spain using a proprietary process that combines industrial innovation with an artisanal finish. Available in 15×15, 10×20, and 20×20 cm formats, they integrate the properties of ceramic, cement, and natural stone. A material with its own distinct identity for contemporary architecture and interior design.
Technical specifications
Our technical cement tile combines the advantages of ceramic, cement, and natural stone, offering a balance of durability, aesthetics, and natural character. Consequently, our tiles are designed to create surfaces with an organic appearance, far removed from industrial uniformity.
