Outdoor tiles: A non-slip and durable solution
We manufacture thin outdoor tiles; at just 18 millimetres thick, they are a non-slip, sustainable, and durable option for any outdoor space. These tiles perfectly withstand foot traffic and high humidity.
Non-slip tiles manufactured in a thin profile
To manufacture our outdoor tiles, we use natural materials, resulting in original and highly durable pieces. We mix cement, quartz, silica, stone, and water to create a completely original product. These carefully selected components ensure durability and an aesthetic appeal capable of withstanding the elements. Furthermore, our manufacturing processes are eco-friendly and promote sustainability in every tile we produce.
In a world where durability and environmental responsibility are increasingly important, we have developed a new generation of exterior cladding. Our tiles not only beautify your spaces but also reflect a commitment to quality and sustainability.
Outdoor tiles: Safety, durability, and sustainable design
We manufacture our outdoor tiles in 10×20 centimetres with a thickness of 18 millimetres. Our tiles are made with cement and a blend of various stones. Stones up to 2 mm thick give our tiles high strength.
We offer several colours, all made with a single-layer concrete mix coloured with natural oxide pigments. These pigments not only provide a vibrant finish but also ensure durability and resistance to fading over time. Each colour is carefully selected to enhance the aesthetic appeal of any space while preserving the integrity of the material.
Our outdoor tiles combine the best of design and engineering to offer a unique and durable cladding solution. Therefore, with their reduced thickness, they are ideal for renovation projects where the goal is to avoid raising the floor height, making them easy to install on terraces, gardens, and patios.
Innovation and natural materials
To manufacture these pieces, we use a carefully selected blend of cement, quartz, silica, stone, and water. These natural materials not only ensure durability and an unparalleled aesthetic appeal but also provide exceptional resistance to the elements, from heavy rain to scorching sun and frost.
Non-slip flooring
Thanks to a special blend of various stones, these outdoor tiles are non-slip and highly durable; they’re the ideal choice for outdoor paving. We manufacture them with two different edge finishes: straight-edged tiles or bevelled-edge tiles. Both finishes can be installed with or without grout and allow for various installation patterns: herringbone, parallel, staggered, or interlocking.
Commitment to the environment
Our manufacturing processes are eco-friendly, promoting sustainability in every tile we produce. Furthermore, by choosing our tiles, you’re opting for a product that respects the environment without compromising quality or design.
An original, non-slip outdoor floor
Our tile manufacturing process results in a completely original product, with textures and finishes that highlight the beauty of its natural components. Additionally, we design their surface to be non-slip, providing safety in all conditions, even when wet. Hence, this makes them the perfect choice for pool areas or high-traffic zones.
Concrete tiles
New special tiles with modern designs for kitchens and bathrooms.
A perfect option for demanding flooring
Our outdoor tiles showcase concrete in its most authentic form, making them an ideal decorative choice for demanding floors, both indoors and outdoors. Furthermore, the nature of our materials and the appearance of random tones give each piece a special and unique character.
Terrace flooring: Durability and style in concrete
Our outdoor tiles are the ideal choice for terrace flooring. These are single-layer cement tiles, paver-style, designed with a low profile for easy installation and superior durability in high-traffic areas.
In their composition, we use silica and quartz, materials that make them naturally non-slip (Type C3). Concrete is porous and showcases the character of cement in its purest form. Silica imparts unique hardness and textural properties that, together with cement, create a surface unlike any other material, combining functionality with a highly distinctive aesthetic.
Garden paving: Design and durability for your outdoor space
Our pavers are the perfect solution for your garden or pool deck. Their high durability and non-slip properties make them ideal for high-humidity areas. Additionally, contact with water highlights the natural nuances of each piece, creating a random and unique textural effect.
You can easily install these outdoor tiles on a uniform screed. Hence, allowing them to withstand heavy loads and making them an ideal choice for high-traffic areas. Ultimately, they are an original, designer option for a wide variety of outdoor decorative applications.
Outdoor pavements: A comparative guide
When choosing outdoor paving, especially for high-traffic areas, it is crucial to consider durability and aesthetics. Although there are various types of flooring, each has its own advantages and disadvantages.
Analysis of traditional materials
- Porcelain tiles: They are very durable, with a thickness of 2 centimetres, but their surface wears down over time, losing its original appearance.
- Stone: They offer a natural aesthetic that improves with wear, but they become polished over time, losing their non-slip properties and becoming dangerous.
- Wood: They add warmth and are slip-resistant. However, their installation is complex, and they require constant maintenance.
- Concrete (traditional): Pavers 5 centimetres thick or more are laid on sand. They tend to be very porous, and over time the base deforms, affecting the surface.
Dgeum’s Innovation: An improved concrete pavement
We have perfected concrete to create a more versatile outdoor tile that overcomes the drawbacks of traditional materials:
- Low thickness and easy handling: We press it to just 18 millimetres thick, which makes installation and transport incredibly easy. A single pallet can hold up to 40 square metres, compared to the 5 square metres of traditional pallets.
- High resistance: You can install them on a uniform screed. Which enables them to withstand heavy loads and makes them suitable for high-traffic areas without deforming.
- Non-slip with a fine finish: We use silica sand as a natural anti-slip agent, which allows us to achieve smoother textures without sacrificing safety.
- Aesthetic that improves with time: Like natural stone, its natural wear not only doesn’t affect its appearance but actually enhances it.
- Adaptable design: In addition to all their functional advantages. You can decorate the tiles, which offers endless design options.
Considerations on grout
- For indoor use: It is recommended to use grout in a colour similar to that of the tiles. Since both the grout and our pieces are made of cement, the grout adheres slightly to the tile surface, which should be taken into account during installation.
- For outdoor use: You can lay the tiles without grout. Another option is to use a dry sand-and-cement mix to avoid altering the colour of the tiles.
Treatment
Since the tiles have a certain texture, it’s also advisable to apply a product to protect them. There are several products on the market designed to protect porous surfaces. We recommend Fila’s MP90 Eco Xtreme protective finish, which is easily applied with a roller without altering the natural appearance of the cement.
